I have just purchased a Robyn T240D from Ebay. The radio is in fantastic condition and was reported to function excellent. I was wondering about the radio and what you could tell me about it. It won't be my primary radio, but will be a very proud piece in my shack. I don't have a mic for this radio and was wondering what the tech's would think a good mic would be. I have to admit that the radio looks like it is brand new. I have read alot about the old tube radios and thought this would be a wonderful addition to my radios. I hope that I made a good purchase and that it will sound good. I appretiate any advice.

Well actually it was $123.00 for the final. There was a standing bid of $91.00 and I waited uup to the last two minutes and put the bid in at 125.00. The bidder started bidding up but didn't beat the clock. I guess he should have put in a larger counter bid. I am sure that he was upset. I remember these rigs going for much more but can't remember the price. My brother is in he mid 50's and said that when he was talking on 11 meter in the 70's that the radio was one of the better talkers and was somewhat expensive. I am sure that one of the techs can give me some type of a estimated value or price. The photographs are great, the unit looks new. The sellers has good marks and reports so I hope the product is in good condition.

I also have a question about one of the buttons on this unit. The Range Expander, exactly what does that do>??

Allows more recieve.
Im getting the windex out and cleaning mine going to put it on there. I got the mobile braket on mine I used to have it mounted under the shelves above the bar years ago it was the kitchen radio.
I might have a extra bracket somewhere its black but I know I got a extra if you want it, I had a gemtronix and a teaberry which are the same radio's reason for extra bracket.
