I realy hate to say this but you pretty much will have to send the radio to RANGER if you need any service if its a major problem..... :-( Thats the fun of owning a SMT radio... cant work on it yourself or trouble shoot it either..

Sledgehammer,

With it only being 6 months old I would send it back to Ranger as it has a Two Year Warranty (Parts & Labor) on it.

Ranger Communication's Inc.

Just my thought's.

I won't get what back? the radio or the expansion module. Maybe I shouldnt even risk sending back this radio after the peak and tune because I can very easily see them calling me and saying that radio was being operated over factory limits and that I am responsible for all parts and labor. Looks like I'm going to have to have it retuned and reset to RCI's specs or I'm going to be out some money.

you will not get the module back. your radio will also be set to factory specs when it returns. there are other places that you can send it and keep the peak and tune, but you would have to pay for the work. have you emailed tech307? he does all of coppers work.
