hey there,,,my texas ranger 696f base is transmitting off freq...being told it is at 27ll5.45,,,,is there some way to get this back on freq...the local tech tells me it is right on,,,but you guys with the ears tell me different...and i hear it often enuff... any suggestions?? ------------------ added by tech8541; is that tech using a freq. counter and checking rx and tx freqs when he tells you it is 'on'?

cornfed i had bad luck with that same "local tech" you are refering to. i ended up doing it myself. |

mark, Tech8541, Earned that MOS in the Marine Corp serving his country. 8541 is the Marine Corp MOS for Scout/Sniper. Trust me it was NOT just given to him, He had to work very hard for it as less than 0.1 percent make it. And it is something he can be VERY PROUD of. lon,,no dis to 8541 intended in any way,,,, what i meant was : "to assume makes an ... out of you and me"...which realy meant in the context of the mssg...i really dont know for sure... Re: mos...indeed he should be proud! my apologies if my lack of communication skills cause any grief... 73 mark |
