I purchased a Robyn T240D on eBay that was advertised as "working" ~~ transmits and receives well, getting good audio reports on it just last night.
Well I received the radio, ordered a pre-wired mic from copper, (D104 hand mic), received the mic yesterday, very good shipping from copper, and attached it to the Radio after placing a battery in mic. No transmitt. Nothing. The needle just jumps a tad, no key up noise, no relay noise nothing. This unit is in excellent physical condition, receives very well and I would like to get it operational. I let it warm up for near 40 minutes, still same effect. Please (Obiewan Techs) what is the answer..?

I have looked at the insides, It appears to be in perfect condition. It receives as good or better than my other radios. The seller has maintained contact even after I put feedback on his site. He has no reason to maintain contact if he is trying to sell junk. He says that he has good stuff, used it for over a year. He has 100 positive feedback on over 300 sales.
Can I take this to a shop, like the one that the tech in bloomington, illinois has, and is there some way of checking to see what the exact wiring is???? Please respond.
