I am thinking of buying a Gereral Stonewall Jackson base. I believe that it is simular to the RCI 2990/95DX with a different face & more features.
Has anyone heard of this radio? If so, how well is it made & is there anything I should know before purchasing one?
They are hard to find & there is little or no support online for these radios.
Thanks

Audioman,

The General Stonewall Jackson is an Import 10 Meter Radio that looks like the 2990.

It is NOT like the 2995DX that is an 10 & 12 & 11 Meter Radio after conversion with Many Added Ham Feature's that the Stonewall Jackson does NOT HAVE.

And with the Ranger Radio's you have a Factory 2 Year Warranty.

For the Same Money get the Ranger Radio's, Better Quality, Better Warranty, More Feature's's and Better Support if needed.

I think the Stonewall Jackson looks much more like a 2517 or a Saturn than a 2990. The 2990 looks like a 2950 shoved into a box meant for a GALAXY! lol.

I would also suggest going with RCI radios.
A couple of cbers in my area use the Stone
Wall Jackson, both have had trouble.
They could not find schamatics for the
radio and had trouble finding someone
who would repair it.
