any thoughts or suggestions as the problem? I was thinking the 2SC1969 Final may be bad. It does TX some I guess it registers on a freq. counter, but not the internal or an external watt meter. I had bought it as non working for parts to 2 new ones I had bought back in 2000. I had cracked the case on the other 2 so I could not return them when they would not convert. As per the instructions on the tips and tricks video I have. This one will convert but no TX power. Could the bias's be off for the driver and/or final, or could it be the driver and/ or final? Could I get the voltages and such for the bias's and transistors? This might be a tough one for the techs. I did buy it non working from Copper. Then again I bought 2 Euro 3900s from you and all that was needed for one was a channel LED and the other just had the bottom segment on the first digit burnt out. Why is it that 2 radios were "nonworking" and all they needed was a $5 part? Did y'all not want to fix them or did you have orders not to? |

I should have the finals and drivers in in a few days. It uses the same final and driver as that 142 I posted about. So I ordered more than one each. I just hope this diode I got from Rat Shack works on it. It has the same number as the one in the radio but the ones in it looked like glass and these new ones are black. I accidently broke one removing it from the driver. They glued one to the driver and one to the final. |
