I’m looking to buy good quality 7 digit frequency counter for Galaxy 2517 Base? The type that has a single plug that’s plugs into the back of the Galaxy and Ranger bases, that works on transmit. My frequency meter is out in the radio. Where is the best place to buy this frequency counter? I don’t believe that copper sales them. Thank you.

Bassbug

7 digit counters work great for tuning PLL sections and what-not but I would NEVER recomend one just for everyday CB operation. It would rarely stabelize. I have however modified a few PDC-357's for people so that the 7th digit can be turned ON or OFF for better frequency stability.

Other than that, I am not aware of any direct "plug-in" 7 digit counters. Check with Copper and see what they have available.

I agree.

I have one of the PDC-357's but it isn't modified.
