I’ve been "thinking" about unlocking the clarifier on my 3900 and decided to go over the instructions. Again! Being the skeptic that I am I spent a few hours comparing different schematics. I found the Galaxy DX Radio DX88HL has the same board as the 3900. (I had read that on this forum somewhere. Thanks!) I also found the process for unlocking the clarifier is totally different for the 3900 and the 88hl!
If the schematics are identical then why would the mod be different? Has anyone actually done this modification? If so, I wonder how it worked. Or if it worked?
Would someone please check me on this. Below are links to make it easier. What did I miss?

I really wouldn't be too concerned with it. Just do it the way that CB Tricks shows it for the 3900. It'll work.
