Browning has a forum. Do a search for browning cb's. Ask the Browning guys. There is an adjustment in the receiver but since not familiar can't tell you what or where. I own 2 but both are 23 channel made in 60's. Very good equipment way ahead of their time. Tony, N5JVA |

there is a cap in it for the ping. I think a 10 mfd @ 350 volts. Put a 20 or 40 mfd @ 350 volts in it and it will bring it up. tony/n5jva/ cef 259 |

This was an old archived post. FYI, the "ping" is actually some feedback from the receiver's speaker into the microphone the instant the radio is keyed into transmit mode. If you want more "ping", move the microphone closer to the receiver's speaker. There's your no-cost radio modification for the month. Your radio 'Mythbuster' since 1998
