I have a strange problem with a old 2510. The main board is dated 1988. The problem is that when I key the mic the audio from the speaker drops as it should and the TX indcater appears but no power out and also when the mic is keyed the S meter still shows incoming signals. I bypassed the mic and grounded pin 3 to ground to see if it was the mic but same thing as with the mic hooked up. Could it be bad finals???

OK sounds like it not really going to tx but I may be wrong. I suspect that this one might be work bench case.

Let me chase around here and find my schematics for 2510 and I'll may be able to give a better answer in a day or two..

I may have to agree with Bruce on this one. Also could be a bad solder connection on the PC board itself. Time to get out the light and magnifying glass.
