The audio on my 2950dx changed suddenly from clear, to a "tinney, distorted sound. I tried a external speaker, and different antenna , but no help. Its still understandable, but not nearly as clear as before. Any ideas ? Thanks, Spyder

i have seen the volume control cause a similar problem in these radios.

i do not advise self repairs on this radio since it uses smt technology. i would be happy to look at it for you. i am completely smt capable and 1 of 3 recommended repair centers by ranger for ranger radios that are out of warranty.

if it is under warranty then i would suggest the free repair couresy of ranger technicians.

I had a three hour drive yesterday. The sound would get louder and clear for a second or two, then it finally stayed clear. Strange !! I hope it stays that way !
