can anyone point me in the tight direction for installing this counter in this base? I have no
idea where to tap into the various components to
make it work! well,maybe B+ and B-,and the shield.

Slim1,in the 8719 washington you would pull the recieve freq tap(7mhz)at the emitter of tr22(2sc1675) and the transmit freq tap(38mhz)from tp1 between L14 and L27.if the counter injects a clock freq buzz into your recieve then also put a low voltage .01mfd ceramic cap inline with the 2 frequency tap connections.

Dindin,this counter has wires for LSB/USB,coax
center,shield,another ground,and B+. I believe you're thinking of another type of counter.
the PCB in this washington is the PCB-385AG.
