I'm pretty close to completing a restore of this radio. It is an 23 channel tunable, with 8 channel Xtal control transmit. It seems to be a rare early AM unit. Ser. # 473. My research shows it is simular to the TR 27D that has some minor improvements.
Would it be worth the effort to add these improvements to this unit? Or should it be kept in it's original design?
The changes effect the S=meter amp and the Power supply load resisters.
I have only been able to gather info on the TR 27D . My research on the 27 B has not found anything, schematics manuals and Sams photofacts do not seem to exist.
