Hmmm , I would have to guess since the "mod kits" burned out since people found out after cutting them open that they were a hoax that MEGA PAK is a new name to bring them back . YOU DO NOT NEED KITS TO INCREASE POWER OR MODULATION!!!!

Actually, the Mega Pack is not a mod kit. I bought a radio with this. It was a Galaxy 44V. Another final is added to the output. I have two Galaxy 44V's. One that is tuned and one with a mega pack. On my meter, the tuned Galaxy 44V deadkeys 8 watts and swings 27 watts. On the mega packed Galaxy 44V, the radio deadkeys 12 watts and swing 52 watts. I still questioned it, so I took it to a Ham friend that has a room full of test equipment. He had a Bird 43P and an O-scope. The radio looked very clean on AM and swung 46 on his meter. I was very impressed.

id love to know how everyone gets 40-50 watts out of 2 finals thats combined output is only 37 watts
total speaking of the 2sc2312's @18.5 watts each.at 70%efficient on the amp circut this would be 26 watts.coarse if ya load it down with over 100% modulation and get the harmonics a kicking it would look much nicer on the meter but sound much trashier on the air!

maybe you could explain this for me
thanx and 73's patriot

Hi all,

The company, or "corporation" as they call themselves, who offers this so called "service" has questionable advertising practices. A simple check of the Better Business Bureau of Central East Texas would tell a perspective customer all they need to know about this "corporation". BUYER BE WARE!!!

The sad part is these guys have a dern nice high dollar forum set up with over a thousand members .The majority of the members are alright Cb'ers ,but a hand full of the members and the moderators have a serious attitude problem.Don't think for a second that these guys won't curse you out and attempt to smear your reputation .
