I recently replaced the blown SRF-3749 pills in a boomer 300 base amplifier with a brand new set of the same pills.

I know that the previous set of pills were blown, but the new set were not and I was able to solder them securely in without overheating the pills.

The problem is, when I key the radio with the amplifier on, I show a short twitch on the Power meter I am testing the amplifier into, but then it drops to zero and I am getting nothing out.

Could something else have gone out when the pills went? I seriously doubt that this new set of pills is blown.

Thanks
