I was looking into getting a spare set of 6146 tubes but I was wondering what tube set would work the best. 6146b or the 6146w.

Hi Datsun66 !

I used 6146W tubes in mine. The "W" tubes are a little heavier duty than the "B" tubes. If you look around on the internet, you should be able to find a N.O.S. set of JAN 6146Ws for about $25.00 or so.
