Sonwatcher,to gain access to the element in all of the turner +3 style mics look at the back of the mic head.carfully pry off the turner emblem and you will find a phillips screw underneath.small word of caution,it is almost a 3 handed operation to get it back together.also replacing the element itself or tightening up a loose head is the only reason to open the head up.hope this helps.

I haven't removed the head on mine, but carefully remove the gold sticker on the back of the head- there is a screw in there that might do just that...........73,Lee
