I just aquired an old Palomar Tx100 from a neighbor for free. I went to test it out and found that it has some kind of problem, It does transmit at full power, but When you key up, all that it transmits is a loud buzzing and also sends the buzzing back into the radio.... It also does not key down when you relese the PTT button, The radio does but the amp dosent... It just keeps buzzing through the radio.....

It wont key up with the preamp on, but will as soon as you turn it off..... I have carefully looked looked it over and cant find anything visually wrong.... Any help would be greatly appreciated....

driving to much into the amp causing a relay to stick and the rf is sent backinto the radio causing it to hang. try changing the jumper coax and lowering the deadkey to 1.5 watt
