Hello/Lon- I have an old TUG 8 with 4 wires. Trying to get it hooked to a 5 pin Madison. I have read the previous thread down below, but can't seem to get any audio. I switched the head/element out with another and it works fine,... I keyed the radio with it but still no audio,... any suggestions? Thanks XLAXX |

Xlaxx, Astatic TUG-8 to Uniden Madison (858) should be: PIN #1 ~ SHIELD PIN #2 ~ WHITE PIN #3 ~ RED PIN #4 ~ BLACK Electronic If that does not work you can have a broken wire somewhere or the piano switch's might need cleaning or a wire has come loose where they hook into the Mic Head Pin in the Neck / Stand. Or the electronic switch can be bad. Check to make sure a wire has not broken loose from any of the solder connections. The easiest way to find the problem is to completely dis-assemble it, resolder all connections and wires and check & clean & test everything with a volt/ohm meter before re-assembly. 808- Thanks for the reply. The Madison is a 5 pin rig. The TUG 8 is a 4 wire mic. I think I need to put a jumper in there somewhere?,.... Looks like I might have to pull the TUG 8 guts out for it to work. XLAXX |
