Kd4amg,

NO the HTX-10 cannot be converted / modified for 11 Meter use.

But, the Magnum 257 can be converted / modified for 11 Meter use.

rats...i was hoping that by now that some one would have found out a way to do it...I have searched a lot of cb web sites to see if I could find one...some mentioned a model htx-100 but that is a different radio ( inside and outside controls, you can not get these 2 mixed up !!)...I was a hoping there was / is a mod for the htx - 10 since I have a very small vehicle and dont really have enuf room for a ranger 2950...but the magnum is the same size rig ( what is the INSIDE differences between a magnum 257 and a htx - 10 ..they LOOK basically the same on the OUTSIDE )...must be the CPU or IC s in the units... tell me if you know...but thank you for the info any way...guess I will either trade this off or keep it and take it to the HUNTSVILLE HAMFEST in August and try to sell / trade it there...thanks anyway kd4amg ( ROBERT )

I had A titan Rpsy-485 With problems. I went online and got a NIB HTX-10. The titan had cheep filters but 11M modable. HTX-10 board + titan CPU/front board=MAG.257 without variable power. This is a new life For all of those titan, egale sidewinder ect. So hang on to those HTX-10's they are good parts for all of those titan, egale sidewinder ect. IMHO, I-b-a-cb-freq
