Does anyone know if this radio will go 11 meters? The jumpers behind the LCD display gives different bands- 14Mhz, 18Mhz, 50Mhz but can't get the 11 meter? Any suggestions?

N47ie5,

YES, it will if you have the expansion module that came with the radio.

I also answered your other question you have posted asking this same question.

If you have the latest version of the CPU-board, EPT695041z, the Expansion Module plugs into the connector labled CN61.

Yep, that's the CPU-board it has, unfortunately I don't have the module, I messed up when I originally ordered the radio. Don't know what i'm going to do there. I'm wondering though, what functions that circuit does?

The expansion module is a small,heat-shrunk, two-sided SMT board... and the IC chip on it has the numbers ground off! So we don't know how it works. You can get an extra expansion module from a dealer for a reasonable price and that WILL, alone, get you 10,11, & 12 meter coverage.

Trouble is finding a dealer... the numbers are ground off? That makes me wonder, i'd bet it's a common chip, I'd like to get ahold of one to analyse it, how many pins does it have?

Ask your nearest Ranger dealer for the expansion module. The module consists of a small two-sided PC board with through-holes. One side has thirteen chip resistors, capacitors, and jumpers. The other side just has the 14-pin "mystery chip" and the three wires that terminates into a plug. (all parts are surface-mount and the board has the marking EPT695020c)

Check with copper, maybe they will sell one or if you bought from them they might even give you one.

Sorry but NO the Copper Tech will NOT sell one.

If a person order's a radio then it will be included.

If a person need's the conversion module they will need to check the internet site's or maybe a RANGER DEALER (NOT Ranger USA) near them.

Hope this help's,
