You must have a crack on the main board , this is common , I suggest getting a strong magnifier and looking at it real close. You will see a crack somewhere.

make sure all screws are tight!! i had this problem so many times in my life its not funny. tighten the curcuit board screws down snuggly then drill a hole in the back of the radio near the antenna jack. stick a bolt and a wing nut through it so wing nut is on the outside of the radio run a gound wire from the seat belt bolt or a good ground in the vehical and wrap it around the wing nut now on the radio ...and the bolt side in the radio solder a wire from the bolt head to the curcuit board ground. not you wont have any squeling or ground problems.
also make sure your radio knobs on your radio bracket arent over tightened as it tends to flex the board and then you might have the same problem as you describe, hey try it and see what happens. good luck....the honky tonk man 593

Could be a cold solder joint from the factory.A close inspection with illuminated magnification may help locate the culprit. These problems are a pain to locate.Good Luck.
