how do you modify the new general lee am/fm amateur radio?? is it the same mod as the galaxy 33 or connex 3300?? just won one and gotta do the mod. thanks for info.....honky tonk man 593

TR32 or VR14 AMC
VR12 SSB ALC
VR13 HI PWR
VR16 LO PWR
L33 TUNE FOR MAXIMUM SWING

THERE IS ALSO A DIODE CHANGE YOU CAN DO TO GET THE MODULATOR EFFECT.IF YOU WANT THIS INFORMATION , LET ME KNOW AND I WILL POST IT AT ANOTHER TIME.

HONKY TONK MAN 593 :Unsolder one end of R 238 and solder a 1N4001 diode(the unbanded side)to the resistor.Then solder the banded end to the circuit board where you unsoldered R238.Check out the swing and audio.

The General Lee is the same radio as the Connex 3300 HP the Only real difference is that the Mic jack is on the front for the General lee Re-bias tr-32 with a 1k ohm resistor Clip R238 I think thats the right resistor Tune your Hi Power For an 8 watt dead key and Lo Pwr for a 2 watt dead Key then tune tune L33 for max swing that should put you close to a 35 watt swing if not better

has the radio been converted for 11 meter?
if not! take off the top cover, radio facing you , in the front right corner you'll see a cluster of 100 ohm resisters, (4 or 5 of them) remove them and its converted for 11 meter..

thank you. i have this radio smoking now!!! just to damn loud with a noise cancelling mike. love it matched with my x force xt400 i can really put things on hold at times. later guys
