Ok hopefully someone here can help? Im looking
for the wiring for a Heil HM 10, the wire color's
are red, green, white, black & sheild. Im sure
that the black & sheild are the ground's but
what are the rest. audio, tx, rx.
I'v e-mail Heil but thay give me the run- around, and tell me that the mic will not
work for the radio i want to use it on, thay
keep trying to sell me another mic.

Bushpilot169,

Sorry, but I do not have the Wiring Diagram for the mic.

From the Heil web site they say:

CC-1 Adapter Required
Needed to interface Mic with your transceiver

Heil HM-10

You may want to also post this in the Ham Gear area of the Ask the Tech Area as more Hams use Heil mics than most others.

Hope this helps,

Lon

I think that Heil would know their microphone better than anyone else. Did they give you a reason that it won't work with your radio? What model radio? What mic are they trying to sell you?

Heil always wants to sell the adaptor wiring, it costs like 25 dollars for the wiring for each different radio, just a way to make more cash!

That's what I thought too Pig040, but he said they want to sell him another mic which doesn't make sense to me.

According to the site for the HM-10 has this information:
Terminated in a 4 pin broadcast XLR 1-GND Shield, 2-MIC, 3 and 4 PTT.

I have an Icom ic-751, and Heil said that,
that mic would not work for that radio, and thay want to sell me the ICM mic, thay say it is just for that radio.
To me it is just another way for some company
to sell me something i don't need, and for an
outrageous price.
All i want to do is just wire the **** mic.

Did you read about using their microphones on Icom radios? There is a legitimate issue with using an HM-10 on an Icom IC-751. That's why they make a microphone specifically for Icom radios.
