Will this radio's PLL expand? If so what is required? Is this covertible thru switches, or would it need a Expo kit? Thanks, JPT |

Expo 100 type "A" kit.
The kit is required because the PLL chip was built to prevent 'simple' expansion with toggle switches alone.
The "A+" kit was meant to mount in the front panel, in place of the "Delta Tune' control, but I don't think it will fit behind the front panel of the newer models of the 29, like yours. You're probably stuck with the "A" kit, with a toggle switch sticking out the side of the radio. The kit is soldered to the toggle switch. Separating them is not that easy.
