A friend is doing some repairs on my d104 desk mic and he has run in to some trouble. The mic cord has dettached from the pc-100 board in the base. The problem is there's five wires in the cord and there's nine terminals on the board.I need to know which wire goes to which terminal. The wires that are dettached are shield, red, blue and yellow.I need help right away. This is all the info i have on the problem.

Can you borrow a mic to look at? Short of reading the schematic this might be your only choice, unless somebody can post a picture for you. Astatic has a better copy on their website for the Silver Eagle that would make it easier to read if you have to refer to the schematic.

Bluegrass,

The Wires from the Mic Cord DO NOT attach to the main board they go to the piano switches.

With the Board Upside Down and the Solder Tabs facing you, you will see 5 Solder Tabs on the LEFT SIDE of the switches and 4 Solder Tabs on the RIGHT Side of the piano switches.

With the Switches 2 screw holes facing you and the Contacts facing away from you wire as follows from Top to Bottom.

LEFT SIDE
#1 ~ BLACK
#2 ~ RED
#3 ~ SHIELD
#4 ~ Wire goes to board
#5 ~ Wire goes to board

RIGHT SIDE
#1 ~ BLUE
#2 ~ YELLOW
#3 ~ Wire goes to board
#4 ~ WHITE

Hope this helps,

Lon
