Add ground rods, add a noise filter on the power cord.. What I would do is go to the breaker box outside and kill everything but the radio stuff.

Then you will know if its in your house.

Comes and goes?

First, make sure the Amp is off and elimnate it as a source.

Start hitting breakers in different parts of the house, and tru to isolate the source of the noise.

If it is intermittent, it almost has to be something like a freezer, refrigerator, or heat/ac unit? Dryer/Washer?, usually something with a motor that would radiate an E/H field.

When this happened to me, I had a bad ground at the fuse box, it appeared good at DC but was still not effective.

Mine was the refrierator the compressor was emmitting the noise. I put a really good surge surpressor/ground with a bandpass filter on the power box -8 feet of new ground rod close to the box, and it quit.

These problems are often hard to track down.

A security light 100 feet away would emit a noise every time it came on and it would shut off and come on all night, yuk, then the owner changed the bulb, voila no more problem.Bigbob
