Any chance that someone might know the stock mic wiring for a cbs1000 or even a stock cobra to the cbs1000 ?

Thanks Bruce I'll look at that and see if thats it.
Funny thing, about 5 minutes after i posted the question, I dug out my old es9200 that was still wired correctly for the cbs1000.
Starting to rumage through some of my old junk thats been packed away for a long time :-)

Wires the same as 5 pin Cobras and Unidens.
Pin 1=Audio
Pin 2=Shield
Pin 3=Receive
Pin 4=Floating ground
Pin 5=Transmit
I just happen to have a like new Cherokee CBS-1000 in my collection and it is quite an interesting little radio.

ok its not the same as my Cherokee it has a 6 pin plug
