I am confused here I have a silver eagle mic with a t-ug9 stand and want to wire it to a washington radio .I thought (yea)that it is the same as a madision what is correct to wire this mic to this radio . thank you Capt Hook

ASTATIC T-UG9 Mic to Uniden Washington (8719) 5 Pin Radio.

Pin #1 ~ WHITE ~ AUDIO
PIN #2 ~ SHIELD ~ GROUND
PIN #3 ~ BLACK ~ RECEIVE
PIN #4 ~ BLUE ~ COMMON
PIN #5 ~ RED ~ TRANSMIT

YELLOW / N/C

thanks lon one question just looked the mic has yellow instead of white wire do I use the yellow for white??

Capt_hook,

NO!

Cut/skin the casing back on the Mic Cable and you should see All of the wires.

The YELLOW Wire is N/C (NOT CONNECTED) or Used when conecting this Mic to the Washington.

If a 4 pin Washington:
Pin 1=Shield and blue
Pin 2=Audio white
Pin 3=transmit red
Pin 4=Receive black
Yellow no connection
This wiring works on four pin Cobra,Uniden and several 4 pin export radios.

Sorry, but he has the 5 Pin (8719) Washington Radio not the 4 pin model.

lon thanks I looked further and found everything hooked them up and bamm worked and the best part is on the bottom was a solid plate I removed it and under it was a volume control system no batt so I put one in and it works great and think I only payed $15.00 for it. this is the first mic I ever wired does this make me a tech? thanks again Capt Hook

Lon, I doing some emails and typeing my post when he sent that it was 5 pin. but maybe others can use the 4 pin wiring.
