i have come into a nice clean Lafayette base ...now the problem....transmits on AM but not SSB.....dont know if someone got a golden screwdriver in it or not.....need to know which pod is for the ssb wattage ajustment...and which transistor is the ssb final.....thanks for any help in advance.....Clark514.....aka CEF122

Clark it's not the pot or the final. Sounds like the SSB switch isn't working you need a schematic.
Most sets use a switch or a transistor to switch from one mode to another.use a 2nd radio to listen and see if you hear the 100 TRYING to transmit .... if nothing i would look to the switches
