Dale,

Yes the S-3200B has a Final Transistor 2SC1969.

Sorry but No Variable Power Control.

Our S-3200B dead keys and 2 watts and swings 20 watts PEP on our Autek WM 1 meters and works great with any amp we have tried with it so far.

Hope this helps,

Lon

Troublemaker,

You are 100% Correct,

No Bells, No Whistles, No Talkback, No Echo, No added Junk just a GREAT SOUNDING and WORKING RADIO.

We LOVE OURS and from the Contacts we have been Posting in the CEF Net Connections Area IT IS WORKING GREAT!

And before anyone jumps in and asks if it has been Aligned the answer is NO it has not.

It has worked 100% perfectly for us right out of the box and we are 100% happy with it's performance on AM and SSB.

The Only thing we have done is back the Dead Key Power down to 2 watts and Added a SUPERSTAR DM-452 Hand Mic.

If you do not need or want all the Extras the Magnum S-3200B is one of the BEST LOW PRICED BASE RADIOS on the market today.
