if you mean the galaxy DX99V, it's just a normal 4 watt cb, so any power supply with a constant amp rating of 5 amps or more will do fine.
if it were my radio i would buy a 10 amp power supply, because they run about 7 amps constantly, and that way, no matter how much you turned up the power in that radio; the supply would handle it no problem.

BTW, the Dx99V is NOT a "4 watt CB"!!!!!!
It is a dual final transmitter!
10 amp should be good

Grumpy,

If it were me I would always puchase a power supply over what I currently would need. You will find having the extra amps an added advantage in your radio shack for other items that you might want to power-up. The cost really isn't all that much more cost wise for having more amps available. I would think a 10amp supply would cost new from $50 to $70 bucks and used maybe $25 to $40....I would try to stay in the range from 20amp to 30amp at the minimum...maybe new $100 to $150 I would guess. Remember power supplies are heavy so the cost of shipping might cost you much more than you might want to pay...buying when shipping is cheaper or at a discount is a good idea or buying 'local' were you can pick it up direct even better. There are plenty power supplies on the used market also and again buying local, seeing and testing what you are buying and saving shipping costs on a heavy item always good. Don't be afraid of buying a power supply that seems over and beyond what your current needs are.
