I would like to know where the VR10 & VR11 are located in the President Madison. I think it's the newer model as it has the 3 buttons on the lower right of the front panel. Thanks for all your help! |

if your madison has a digital clock on it, then it is the new style, and it will have an MB8719 PLL chip in it. if the clock is analog, then it is the old style with the UPD858 chip in it. if it is the new style, VR11 will be near the back of the radio (knobs facing you, right side up) about an inch or two in, and right near the center. VR10 will be on the right hand side, near the back, right next to the biggest capacitor on the board. its hard to see as there is a big wiring harness that runs over it. use a flashlight. a word of warning, the final transistor for that radio is getting very hard to come by. i would be careful when turning up the power. set VR10 for no more than 6 watts dead key. set VR11 for no more than 16watts peak. just a suggestion, matt |
