I purchased a Palomar 250 from Copper some years ago and it worked great until it got hot and I blew the transistors. So I bought 2 new ones from you and put them in, but now it only dead keys 40 watts, roughly half the power dead key. Do you think one of the transistors are bad for whatever reason?? I don't have a way to check them or I would. The first transistors both popped I heard them both. Thats why I changed the transistors. Now I am stuck, I can't tell which transistor is bad or if it even is a transistor?? What should I do?? Please help. Thank you Steve.

Wish I could help..sort of having the same problem with my Palomar225 although I have not yet replaced the transistors. Never did hear anythong POP but I believe I did slightly overdrive it and heat it enough to at least weaken one. New ones will be here soon. As soon as I do the swap I'll let you know what I'm seeing.
You may want to recheck your soldering. Check continuity between the transistors and what you soldered them to.
Also...I don't know what you did to pop your old pills but you may want to swap out the jumpers your using as well...just as a troubleshoot.
Good luck!
