ok....I have an old tube type base linear with only the name RAIDER on it. With a deadkey of 2watts it will swing 125 watts with my Washington hooked to it. What I would like to know is....There are 4 tubes in it and I would like to know "IF" I can get bigger tubes to make it produce more watts. Also....Where could I find a schematic for this little thing?

D & A made the raider. a good piece back in the 70's. if it's still working, i'd leave it alone. no, don't mess with the tubes looking for more output, try google for any other info.

I have a palomar 300A that is blowing the input caps.2-100x 450 volts in series.Without even transmitting they get extremly hot then spew their inards out all over the place.Could the external power transformer be causing this.I have checked the tubes they all check out fine.2-6LF6 pushing 4- 6LF6's.The caps are installed correctly

On the palomar300a you most likely have a shorted to ground diode or one of the capacitors is shorted to ground. Its not likely to be the transformer.
