Hello to all, It seems I need a 120v xfmr, for a BC 2000. After many years, it lit, but then blew a fuse. Isolated it from the board, and fuse still blew. The transformer is 120v in, and probably 14+/- v out, can't imagine it flows more than 1 or 1.5A. Numbers on it are 141P3 and 37-7752.
Any ideas what to use for a replacement?
I know that there are some CPI uses on this forum, any ideas? PM if you'd like.
It does work on 12v DC, tomorrow I'll line it up with my 2000gtl, and have a freq. counter!

Bob I have a few Transformers around I will look to see what I have is there any way you could Email me a photo of the one you need this might help me match one up for you

That's a center tap step down transformer and I doubt it's that much voltage. The 2000 base radio is a 110v stepped to 16v or 8.5v on each tap(2). I'll measure my BC2000 and see what it's reading. Those small transformers should be at Radio Shack. I believe the console is a center tap as well, 2 wires in and three out. I'll look at mine again. |

The transformer in question IS centertapped.I did replace the large cap, and the 3 diodes, one of the diodes was bad. Not sure which one went bad first, xfmr or components. I've had this since '76 or so. I'll try to get a picture up and sent.

Well I checked mine, and it's 10v on each leg, wow,
it's a 20vct.

I figured out how to post an image in the pic area, , it was easy, just making it hard on myself. There's a smaller pic in the Members picture section. The measurement of the xfrm is 1.5" by 2".
