Ok, still have a few questions on this rig.
How is the receive on this unit? Does it pull in distant stations good? Is it sensitive?
Anyone ever figure out what board Magnum is using in this unit? Is it same board as some of the magnum mobiles?
With this unit fully tuned, What is the max dead key watts it puts out?
I know it is a single final unit but when a conversion is done, is final replaced?
Thanks

Crackshot,

Read my Review that I did on the m MAGNUM S-3200B Base Radio and it should answer your Questions also Read the comments under Discussion.

MAGNUM S-3200B REVIEW

Discussion

No Final is Replaced when the Channel Modification is performed.

I have my Dead Key set a 2 watts for use with the KLV1000 and it will swing to 16 watts.

The Receive is as good as any other radio out there, it is Not the radio but your Complete system ie, Coax, Grounding, Antennas, equipment in line and conditions that will determine what you will or can reveive.

As for the Board it is different than the other Magnum Radios I have reviewed.

Hope this helps,
