Hi everyone, I have a Boomer deluxe 250 Amp and have a question about it. My question is should the SWR between the radio and amp be the same or close to the SWR after the amp. On medium the swr between the radio and amp is good but on low or hi power the SWR's are around 3.5 between the radio and amp. All SWR readings takken after the amp are good. Is this normal or do I have a problem with my amp? Thanks for the help.

Ive had this linear for a long time and ive used lots of different lengths of jumpers and it never seems to make much difference. A buddy of mine told me to ignore the reading but I cant until I have a definite answer on whether its normal or not.

Scoobydoo.... Try using a nine foot length of coax jumper between your radio and amp... and see if it drops. I had the same problem and changing the length of coax between amp and radio worked.

Ok, I'll try it. Im using it in a mobile and will probably need 9 feet to get it to the antenna anyways. Thanks for the help.
