I dont think there is i have this radio also.if you ever find out let me know.do you have extra channels in yours and an unlocked clarifier?

the 10kc up/down/both switch mod for the mb8719/rci8719 works in the 148f...some 148f's(later models maybe???) used either the mmb8719 or mb8734, it won't work on the 8734, don't remember on the mmb, it is only partially modifiable.

Yes, there is an easy 10 KHz. up and down mod if your 148F has the MB8719 PLL.

10 Kc jump switch for the MB8719
Cut the trace going to pin #16 and bridge it with a 4.7k resistor. Then use a SPDT center off switch solder the middle terminal of the switch to the pin before the cut. Next solder one side to a 5 volt dc source and the side of the switch to ground or pin #18.
this is right out of the CB Secrets CD
