Since I've been back on, I have found a whole bunch of elderly CB'rs with Cobra 2000's. I politely let them know they can drop them at my house but I have not had any success so far. Any suggestions? Mark |

I have one but not in to great of shape. It came to me used by at least two people for sure. I has been modified by I think not such a great tech. It now has some extra channels, adjustable power via the Tone button and an echo board installed as well. The front is worn from use but it does indeed work and have talked some DX on it. Think all I really have left for the base is the New Compression Desk Mic when it comes out, well for now anyway. Was thinking about selling it but was told I should keep hold of it for a backup radio if nothing else. Think I may send it out and have it worked on. Found a good tech and things come back perfectly aligned. No way to put it back to stock without leaving holes in it from the toggle switched for the extra channels. Tim CEF-634 |

I bought one at a local swap, the owner "went on" and his son was selling his stuff off. Asked him what he wanted for the, like new and stock 2000gtl. He said $20.00, we settled on $17.00 and he threw in a multi-meter. One man's junk ya know. sb106 |
