I'm curious about something I heard a number of years ago. It was said that Cobra stopped making base stations because modification information had made it's way in to boxes with the radios when they were shipped. It soulded kind of far fetched, but I'm curious if anyone else heard that same thing. I look at the number of cb base stations to chose from in Copper's Magazine and websight and wonder. There are plenty of mobile units but only two or three base stations. |

Probably because CB base stations just don't sell like they used to. |

I wish Excalibur would come out with a new SSB just for one year. That would be nice. marc/cef613 |

Back in the day I remember hearing something like that with Uniden.I heard that some of Uniden's distributors were shipping 2510's with mod info in the box and the FCC stepped in. This was supposed to be why Uniden stopped production on the 2510 and atarted producing the 2600.Fact or fiction I don't know, it's just one of the many radio rumurs I've heard over the years. |
