anybody know why a HW101 with no microphone installed would want to suddenly want to key up in transmit mode? thinking bad capacitor dunno which one.

BTW this has the RIT mod, and connections for an autopatch (not connected)

Isnt their a cap across the PTT switch to suppress spikes? That would be my guess.

Think I figured it out. spotted other transmit issues in the service bulletins. seems that this thing has issues with different brands of 6EA8's
swapped out the one that controls the TX relay with one from another socket and it quit doing it.
