Al_lafon,

You DO NOT cut anything off of the top section.

It will cover 143 ~ 174 MHZ simply by sliding the Adjustable Tuning Rod in the Hub UP or DOWN.

Ok but from the stock starting point Tuning Rod in the Hub UP or DOWN. Up or Down ? also the package says covers 143 to 174 by cutting top section. I see the tuning rod and understand this
that. I also have read online that a ham had to cut his down to get a good and low SWR. What i'd
like to do is talk to someone who has used this anttena my SWR meter a Diamond SX-200 gos to 200
Mhz so i am at the uper end of its range an not to sure its working right
Thanks al

Al_lafon,

I have been using the Anttron 2-MB-PLUS since Ken and Sammie bought the Anttron Company from Frank and Martha.

I have not had to cut the antenna and I have not had an SWR reading of over 2 on my Swan WM-6200 In Line SWR / Wattmeter when covering the MURS band from 151.820 thru 154.600

This is from my own actual personal experience with this antenna.

Hope this helps,
