I did the mod for extra channels and the unlocking of the clarifier. It worked good, but I do have one problem. The freq counter reads 27.4042 on USB and 27.4050 on AM, and then reads 27.4067 on LSB. I choose channel 40, but it reads the same one any channel. USB is 042, and LSB is 067. Now with a freq counter in line, it shows I am TXing on freq on AM,LSB and USB. So the radio is TXing on freq. But the internal freq counter is off on SSB mode. I tried adjusting the freq counter, but I can't get it to change on SSB. What can I do? I really have no techs here and not alot of test equipment. I could live with the freq counter being off, knowing it's really on freq. But it kinda stinks that it's off. Makes me think I do shoddy work, know what I mean? |
