Hello I have an other amp I am wondering about,
it dosent have any name or other identfication on it.
It has a crome top, black face, 1,6lq6 in the back right corner
driving 3,6lq6es in the front right corner. It has a driver
tune in the back, and the load and plate in the front
I hope you can see the pics clearly. thats just a fan taped to
the top theres no fan in side and my buddy that is useing it is
knowen for his long winded keydowns. Thats his size 13. LOL Any help will be greatly
appreaciated. Thanks a lot Tim

i believe thats a skipper 300 by palomar you have there.

good amp, but ive never owned one so i dont know too much about them.
as with any old tube amp, replacing all the electrolytic caps and increasing the value of the filter caps in the power supply will do you a lot of good.
new tubes of course.

adding a fan on the inside that will create a good airflow path is important.

a little contact cleaner on the relay contacts couldnt hurt either.

good luck,
matt

I own a Skipper 300 and that does'nt look anything like it at all. Mine has a fan built in it and the front layout is completely different from that one. It does however have the 1 driving 3 8950 tubes in it. Mine gets between 450 and 500 pep.
