Navyrebel782003,

The EASIEST and FASTEST way to find anything is by doing a "Google" Search for it at www.google.com

Or below is a LINK from a Google Search I did for you on "Copper Braided Grounding Strap" and all you have to do is CLICK on it.

Thanks, I have tried looking it up but my computers, I have 2, have both been on the fritz lately and I have to use the ones at work and the navy doesn't really like us to use those for internet sites such as those, but thank you for your time on this matter.

Navyrebel782003,

OK, then all you have to do is CLICK on the links I posted and it will take you directly to the sites without doing a search.

No different than clicking on the Copper Forum Link/URL.

Somehow I have gotten virus's on both computers but almost have them strait now, but again thanks, I am needing the strap because I am thinking of going with a 102" whip and want to bond the whole truck body together for a better ground plane, people keep removing my wilson for me and have damaged my truck in doing so, but again thanks for the time and help, that stuff is hard to find around here.

Copper braid can be 'made' from RG8 coax. Simply strip the outer jacket off the cable, then 'push' the ends of the braid together to loosen the grip on the inner conductor dilectric. Pull the foam covered center out, then pull the braid tight again.

If you have some old RG8 laying around, your cost for new braid= 0.

Try NAPA. They list it online and have it in 25' rolls, or in measured lengths with to connectors on each end.

Thanks Capt025, I will check online then, I have been in the store and the guy there kept trying to get me to buy - battery cables, I did find 1 in the store, the short one that I used on the KL, but that was all they had.
