How many of you are going to take part in Field Day this year?

You know that you do not have to be a licensed Ham to take part, in fact, it is encouraged that non-Hams come and work HF/VHF also.

This is also a great way to introduce HF to Technician class Amateurs.

I'll be at Shaver Lake with the Fresno group. Hope to hear you.

BTW, it is June 24th and 25th, this weekend.

73,
Marty

Listen for W5SI from Kingwood, Texas operating in Roman Forest subdivision. Should be some cw (we have a blind club member who is a whiz at cw), some PSK 31,RTTY,as well as hf voice from the club station. I enjoy more of the antenna set up part than the actual operation part of F.D. In spite of it not being a contest, it ends up one and I have never cared for that type of operation. I like to talk on the radio so I guess I am too long winded for Field Day :-)!!
