i got a good one for you!!!!when i hook my amp up to the meter,it reads crazy.on the low side of amp, it reads a high side reading,and on the high side it reads a low side reading.WHAT GIVES!!! I've got the jumper going from the radio to the transmit side of the amp.then a jumper from the antenna side of the amp to the transmit side of the meter,then the antenna side of the meter going to the antenna.that's correct right?? what gives 505

Yes you have it correct.

Radio Output to Amp Input.

Amp Output to Meter Input.

Meter output to Antenna .

As for the problem it could be anything.

Is it a new amp or used amp?

It actually sounds like the SO239's are mis-marked on the amp.

Sorry I cannot be of more help without seeing it or your setup.

Wheelco505, Have you tried using different length jumpers or a different meter. In the past I have issues like that with swr and realative power meters on amps. Probably best to use 3,6,9 and 12 foot jumpers for the most accurate readings. Just a suggestion.

Are you talking about rf output power showing on the wattmeter?Sounds like your switch is turned upside down.

Because you don't say "all of a sudden..." or "today my amp started..." - this must be a new item you've acquired. Somebody probably reversed the wires on the switch.

yes it is new,and i am going to open it up and check it out,thanks guys i'am getting new jumpers,and reverse the wires also.thanks a lot guys i was beganing to thank i was crazy!!!! 505
