I have the palomar skipper in line with galaxy, it produces around 35 watts out when kicked in, galaxy low am pwr is 6 watts.
I can take the skipper and put it on the other radios produces around 80 to 100 watts out but these radio are tuned to 4 or 3 watts.
Is the galaxy 6 watts producing to much drive and thats why the skipper isnt doing its full potential?, and should I reduce its drive to 3 watts after finding it inside the radio?

Have you checked the PEP from the Galaxy? Could it be possible that the mic gain is not at full or the mic on the Galaxy has low audio? A 2 watt dead key is the norm input to an amp and then whatever it swings to. If you want the best performance from your amp do what I and many others do who want to sound the best. Adjust your radios deadkey so that whatever the amp deadkeys its PEP is 4 times that. A 1 to 4 ratio. So if one of the setups is doing 100 watts from the amp you would want a 25 watt deadkey.
