will a 35 amp astron power supply power a 500 watt mobile texas star amp or no?

Texas Star web site shows the 500 watt CW transmitter pulling 45 amps maximum.I don't think even a 50 amp power supply would provide 45 amps continuous - you would probably have to go with a 60 amp power supply.

No---35 amp supply is not enough.
60 Amp supply should work.

ah ok so 35 amps is ok with 200 watts and thats the max.thanks for the info.

Just researched the Astron RS-35-A and it's what I was thinking the output is. It's only a 25 amp. full time output, with a 35 amp surge output.
The Astron 35 should power a 150 watt amp nicely.
